BOPP Tape Coating Machines
The BOPP Tape Coating Machine is a high-precision system engineered for producing pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) BOPP self-adhesive tapes. The machine is designed to apply a uniform layer of adhesive onto a pre-treated BOPP (Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene) film, followed by drying and rewinding into finished rolls. It typically consists of an unwinding unit, corona treatment station, coating head, drying oven, cooling section, and rewinding system. The coating head—usually of gravure, reverse roll, or knife-over-roll type—ensures consistent adhesive thickness and smooth coating across the entire web width. The coated film passes through a multi-zone hot-air drying chamber where solvent or water-based adhesives are dried under controlled temperature and airflow conditions. A precision tension control system with servo drives and PLC automation maintains accurate web handling and coating uniformity even at high speeds.
